Black Friday Deals Worth Shopping
Everyone and their aunt are currently doing Black Friday gift guides, but I’ve never done one before and I’ve seen some good deals. I’m usually scouring train fares and flight deals, so I suppose the lack of them this year is what has made me pay more attention elsewhere. This is going to cover a total mix, including beauty, fashion, gifts for him, homeware and more. So here’s my Black Friday picks of good deals.
One of the main things to remember with Black Friday is not to get carried away. Would you want the item if it was full price? Or are you just spending because there are offers on so it seems like a good idea? I have a rule that if I wouldn’t buy something for full price then don’t even waste your time on it just because there’s an offer attached. A real bargain is something you’d pay full whack for but get it for cheaper.
I also think if you have an idea of something you want, for example ‘a black bag’ then the Black Friday sales are a good option for browsing and trying new brands, again as long as it is really something you want.
We are inundated every year with offers, and they get earlier and earlier. This year with everyone panicking about the shops being shut I think there is a lot less negativity around it, and you really can pick up a bargain or two.
Molton Brown 15% off at Fenwicks, Price matched by John Lewis
I’m a big fan of the Molton Brown shower gels, hand wash and diffusers, especially the Heavenly Gingerlily scent which smells like the Portixol Hotel in Palma. It’s one of those brands that will take you back to certain places every time you use it which is why it’s my favourite.
Shower gels are usually £22, but Fenwick’s currently have 15% off beauty (*selected lines) and it includes Molton Brown so you can get them for £18.70. Many other products are included though and you can find them here. The male gift sets are really nice too.
Also if you prefer John Lewis they are also currently price matching.
Urban Decay – 30% off all site, 40% off palettes and mascara
This was my first Black Friday purchase a week ago, when they released the 40% off palettes offer first. I got the Naked Honey palette for £25.80 instead of £43, but many of their other famous palettes are included. These are so popular I remember being on waiting lists for some of them, so it’s a brilliant offer. For other Urban Decay cosmetics you can get 30% off the full site until 5th December.
Shop Urban Decay on site here.
Charlotte Tilbury Up to 30% off
I adore Charlotte Tilbury products, especially the bronze and highlighter sets that come out as limited edition in the summer. Their Black Friday offering direct on their site is good if you’re looking for bundles or kits with multiple products in, as you can see here.
I do with they would do even a small discount on other individual products direct on site, but you can cheat and get 15% off if you shop Charlotte Tilbury via Fenwicks, as they’re covered by the Fenwick’s beauty discount.
I got the Airbrush bronzer that was released earlier this year for £39, but it’s £33.15 currently. I know at the time of release it raised a lot of eyebrows for the price as it is more on the expensive side, but I really think it’s worth it and would buy it again. The CT lipsticks are also popular and they’re included in the Fenwick’s discount too.
Monica Vinader 25% off, Thomas Sabo 30% off Selected Items
Two of my favourite jewellery brands, Monica Vinader and Thomas Sabo have some good discounts. Monica Vinader especially have 25% off everything which is a great saving, and Thomas Sabo have 30% off but this is only on certain ranges.
I’ve barely worn any jewellery this year with not going anywhere, and I’ve found that places like H&M have often had very good high street equivalents of a lot of the pieces I like. But a Black Friday discount can persuade me to purchase as you can never have enough good jewellery in addition to everyday costume jewellery.
Dune London up to 40% off
There are discounts of up to 40% across the site, but I’ve got my eye on the Mantra square toe mules that sold out earlier this year. I managed to get them in tan back in April and I wore them all the time through the summer once we were allowed out again which justified the £85 when I consider cost per wear.
They’re so comfortable and easy to walk in despite being mules, and they went with so many outfits. They’re in the sale down to £53 which I think is a bargain so I’m getting another pair in black.
Levi up to 50% off
I don’t personally wear Levi’s jeans but I’m including them because Kieran has so many pairs and he always takes advantage of their Black Friday sale. They’re offering up to 50% off for Black Friday across the site.
Reiss 20% off full price
I can’t even look at the Reiss website this year as I just want all of the knitwear, but 20% off if there is something you specifically need or have had your eye on is a good saving for Reiss.
I got a new long winter coat last year so if you need something like that where you don’t mind forking out I think the 20% is worth it.
Shop the Reiss sale here.
Topshop – Up to 30% off cold weather styles & up to 30% off brands
Cold weather styles includes everything from knitwear, coats and cardigans to scarves, boots and hoody’s. They’ve just announced 30% off brands like Adidas, Puma and Levi today too. I’m trying not to look at the emails they’re sending as they keep releasing new offers each day and I’d get carried away, but there are some good savings to be had.
Also just a tip but if you shop using Chrome then download the Honey extension because there are always extra savings to be had at Topshop. I’ve saved a fortune this year using it.
Visit the topshop website here.
New Look Offers all week – 25% off coats and knits
New Look are releasing new offers most days, but some of them are for limited times. Today they released 25% off coats for 24 hours for example, so it’s worth signing up to their emails for up to date daily offers. I’ve shopped at New Look a bit more this year mainly for casual clothes to sit around in the house in, or the odd one off thing I’ve seen on instagram that I really liked.
I’d say for New Look have a look on their instagram for inspiration before the website, as you can get a much better idea of how things look in real life.
Visit their Instagram here, and website here.
Christmas Jumpers by Wallis 30% off
For good quality Christmas jumpers have a look at the ones available at Wallis. My cousin is a knitwear designer for them and some of her creations this year are gorgeous, I’ve ordered one myself, and I still have one from past years that has lasted so well.
HMV 2 vinyls for £30
Kieran’s been building his vinyl collection for a couple of years now and although this isn’t a specific Black Friday deal I don’t think, it’s a good deal to know about especially at this time of year. Two vinyls for £30 is a good gift for someone, or a cheaper way to add to your own collection.
My head has been blagged by some of Kieran’s music this year, but I do love his vinyl player for Friday night’s with a bottle of wine if he plays stuff I like.
Oliver Bonas sign up for early access Black Friday
If you have or create an account with Oliver Bonas you can get early access to their Black Friday sale, which includes discounts of up to 40%. They have some great trinkets, books, homeware and accessories, all perfect as stocking fillers or as I prefer – gifts from me to me.
You need to be signed in to shop on their website here.
New Black Friday offers added 25/11/20
I’ve seen a couple more that I’m very much interested in.
Victoria Beckham Beauty 20% off
I really like the Victoria Beckham Beauty collection. I got one of the eye bricks last year and it’s gorgeous, very compact so perfect for travel too (fingers crossed soon). The new lipsticks have recently been released, my mum has one and says its lovely.

Rockliffe Hall experiences
One of my favourite hotel/spa in the North East, Rockliffe Hall released discounted experience packages yesterday, including afternoon tea for two, rounds of golf for two, and midweek stays for next year.
Shop all Rockliffe Black Friday deals here, but be quick because they are going quick.
White Company 20% off with MAGICAL20
I can’t believe I didnt see this offer sooner, but it’s because I have to actively avoid their website because I get out of control. Their Winter scent is one of my favourites every Christmas. It’s not just the Christmas shop that has the discount though it’s across the site. Kieran’s mum got me pyjamas last year and they are so comfortable and soft. For somewhere that’s not the cheapest 20% is a good offer to take advantage of.
Shop the White Company here.
New Black Friday offers added 27/11/20
Beau Monde Spa – range of offers
This is the spa I went to on my birthday up in Northumberland and it’s absolutely gorgeous. You can read my post all about them here, but they have a Black Friday sale on with a few really good offers to take advantage of. I’ve booked myself one yesterday, as they can stay open even in tier 3 as they’re a day spa and salon not a hotel.
Offers include gift vouchers with a bonus added, 40% off products and what I’ve gone for which is 30% off treatments with one of their new therapists. Then I’ve added on time in the spa facilities too. I can’t wait to visit again, shop all the Beau Monde Black Friday offers here.
Look Fantastic Save up to 50%
There are always great savings to be had on Look Fantastic I don’t think I’ve ever paid full price for anything, and there’s more today for Black Friday. There isn’t a specific brand it’s across a whole range of them, but you can save up to 50% if you use code BFNEW.
Visit their website here.
Langdale and Brimstone Hotel & Spa
The fabulous Langdale hotel and Brimstone Hotel in the Lake District have a Black Friday offer on at the moment, save 20% vouchers on accommodation. It’s never the cheapest place to visit but so worth it, you can read my experience here, so this is a good saving for future stays.
Shop the offer on the Langdale website here.
Walwick Hall, Northumberland
A gorgeous country house not far from Hexham, Walwick Halls three day Black Friday offer is a 40% saving on dinner, bed and breakfast for mid week stays in January and February. Something amazing to look forward to as in addition to meals it includes access to spa facilities and a complimentary cocktail on arrival.
Get the offer on their website here.
Bare Minerals – 20% off
A specific offer direct on the Bare Minerals site but I’m including it because of all the foundations I’ve tried over the year this is the best one by far in terms of coverage and long lasting. It just doesn’t budge.
Get 20% off on site with code FAVEFRIDAY
Fork in the Rose
I feel so sorry for our little local businesses in the north east after yesterday’s announcement, especially new places like Fork In the Rose cafe in Heaton. They’re still open as a florist and offering takeaway from the cafe, and I saw today only they’re offering a free coffee and mini croissant if you spend £20 in the florist. They have Christmas wreaths and a full range of plants so if you’re around take a look.
Happy online shopping!
