Blogmas: Christmas Jumpers For Christmas Jumper Day 2020
Christmas Jumper Day for 2020 is fast approaching, this year it is Friday 11th December and like always all money raised goes to Save the Children UK. You can read more about the official event, register for a pack if you’re in a school or office that is taking part, or just learn about the work the charity does with Christmas jumper day donation on the official Save the Children UK website.

Christmas jumpers have been out in the shops and online since as far back as mid December, and for once this year I was organised in getting one before they all sell out. That’s why this post is pretty early on in my Blogmas line up, so you still have time to dig out an old jumper, or buy a new one for this years official Christmas jumper day.
Of course they can be worn for any other festive event, especially as we have to meet people outside more than ever this year, and of course on Christmas Day itself. Christmas jumpers get better, or worse depending how you look at it every year. I’ve had all sorts of different ones but the past few years I’ve had two.
My talented cousin is a knitwear designer so I always get one of her creations from Wallis, and I usually get another cheap supermarket one too. I made the mistake of getting one from Topshop one year and it was itchy, overpriced and too short. You can’t go wrong with any of these though, I’ve picked out some of my favourites.
Starting with my Wallis reindeer jumper designed by Lucy, it’s actually no longer on the website that I can find so it must have sold out. It’s so cute and what I love about the Wallis jumpers is they are warm but not too thick, the sizes are great and they’re not tacky at all, they’re really nice wearable designs.
Similar to my reindeer one is this Christmas tree one which I also love, and a range of different star style ones like this. There are a few left through Wallis via the Next website here too.
This one is my second jumper that is for general lying around in on the sofa, festive days indoors and feeling full. It’s not for ‘best’. It’s from George at Asda and was just £16. They have a good range this year but I really liked the sequin tree. It is quite fluffy and some of it does come off or bobble a bit but for the price I’m not too fussy.
This fluffy pudding hoody also from Asda is just amazing, so soft I’ve seen it in the store. It just looks cosy and perfect for snuggling up in. £16 but for any of these Asda ones if out of stock online they do still have them in store.
I’ve got to say I’m a tad disappointed with ASOS selection, this sausage dog one is quite cute, and I like the fleecy loungewear set, and the men’s section actually has some quite good ones, I’m a big fan of this llama one that is quite funny, but in general I think there are better ones about.
I really like this New Look Merry jumper, especially as it’s longer than most for extra toasty-ness and wearing with leggings. They also have the classic Christmas pudding boobs.
This navy and white stripy number with candy canes is lovely from Sainsbury’s, another that’s festive without being totally dreadful. It’s £18 which is good value for their jumpers, I had one last year and really liked it.
I’ve got to say Boohoo have a huge collection, with a lot of them in the traditional knitted prints. There’s a good range to choose from but my top three would be Aztec reindeer, also available in plus size, reindeer and snowflakes as I love this colour, and of course Merry Christmas ya filthy animals.
These ones aren’t for me really but Next do some matching family ones which is quite nice for families with kids, or if any lads don’t mind matching. There’s no way I’d get Kieran to do this. But if you have a willing group of you there’s some for everyone at Next here.
Amazon is also worth a look, I’ve been pleasantly surprised with some of the Amazon clothes this year and for a Christmas jumper it’s worth a try. This Believe one is my favourite.
Finally I really like this sequin scotty dog Christmas jumper from M&S, I think it’s really cute and the red is very festive. £25 from M&S.
Whatever Christmas jumper you go for this year don’t forget to donate your £2 to the Save the Children UK charity, all for a good cause.
