Haworth Hotels, Air BnB’s & Cottages For A Unique Stay In Brontë Country

Haworth sits on top of the south Pennine hills not too far from Bradford, and is known for it’s pretty old fashioned main street, it’s heritage railway line, and most prominently the Bronte sisters. Known as Bronte country thanks to the literary works of the three sisters, Haworth attracts many visitors wanting to explore both Haworth and the Yorkshire Moors. If you’re visiting Haworth for more than a day you’re going to need somewhere to stay, so here’s some of the Haworth hotels, Air BnB’s and cottages to book for a stay here.

Haworth hotels, Air BnB’s and cottages

Some of these are really unique, there’s even a glamping option which has been featured on Channel 4, as well as very central places from which you’d be able to explore the town on foot without needing a car. I found that Haworth was possibly one of the most dog friendly places I’ve ever been, so you can take them with you to stay in most of these Haworth hotels and accommodation too.

Haworth Pub Hotels

The pubs of Haworth date back many years, and have been Inns to visitors, travellers and guests for a very long time. They still welcome guests today, and these three are some of the most iconic to Haworth.

The Black Bull

Possibly the most iconic pub in Haworth as it often features in photos and paintings of Haworth, as it sits on the cobbles right at the top of Main Street. It dates back many many years, and was known as a local watering hole for Branwall Bronte. As well as being a pub it also has four double bedrooms, and has always been an Inn for travellers visiting the area. One of the bedrooms has an iconic view straight over Main Street. They offer bed and breakfast stays, but unfortunately this one isn’t dog friendly.

The Old White Lion

Over 300 years old, the Old White Lion has long been a coaching inn that welcomes guests to stay in Haworth. Also sitting on the top of the hill, and opposite the Bronte Parsonage Museum, the 14 bedrooms offer views across Haworth and over the moors. It may be old, but it has a lot of character and is rated at 4 stars. The food here is also said to be pretty special.

The Fleece Inn

The Fleece Inn is at the bottom of Haworth Main Street, but it still boasts impressive views over the area. It’s a beautiful, character filled 4 star hotel with impressive rooms that promise Yorkshire hospitality. Guests staying here also get 10% off the food in the bar too and a complimentary tasting tray of some of the award winning ales. The Fleece Inn are proud to serve a lot of locally sourced ingredients, and their en suite rooms are decorated using local tradesmen pieces too.

If you’re looking for a unique stay and a little more luxury from your Haworth Hotels then take a look at Ashmount Country House. If the Haworth hotels aren’t for you and you prefer a more flexible, self contained accommodation then there are many of these available, and can be booked directly, through Air BnB or even Booking.com in some cases. When I visit Haworth one of the locals told me they have seen a huge increase in holiday homes in Haworth, so they’re a popular choice.

This place is absolutely gorgeous, a terraced cottage on Haworth Main street you don’t get a better location than this. Everything is literally on your doorstep. Although it’s been renovated it has kept so much old charm including the log burner, original beams and stone. It has two bedrooms, all decorated in keeping with the country feel of the place.

Oak Cottage, Haworth

Another lovely cottage in the centre of Haworth, although this one is opposite the railway station, so you might catch a glimpse of the old steam trains as they pass through. It sleeps six across three bedrooms so is slightly bigger, and it’s available to book via Air BnB.

Bronte Nook

If you’re looking for an Air BnB that’s a decorated more modern, but in an old Victorian house in Haworth then Bronte Nook is for you.
