The Pearly Cow 🐄🦪

Reeeeally enjoyed this restaurant in York at the weekend, well done @njbpr !

It’s just a few mins walk from the centre of York outside the gate but not far and totally worth it, away from the crowds and the food was amazing.

There was a mix of starters including a seafood section on the menu, I went for the oysters which came served in a fabulous shell on ice, and the girls had the tuna tartare which also looked incredible.

Our order was two steaks and one duck, with bone marrow chips, sauce of your choice and was just mouth watering. Thoroughly enjoyed it and the menu had loads of choice, including vegetarian options, seafood and meat.

We decided against dessert as we were on the cocktails/wine and had seen the crumbles at the market, but they did look delicious. There was a small wedding party in towards the back of the restaurant but we had a lovely townhouse window seat and the whole thing was immaculate vibes.

Would recommend for a nice meal Id love to go back in future 🐮 they also have branches in Brighton and Margate

This weekend @myspanishcity Christmas market returns for another year. Perfect for local festive shopping, delicious food, and a great atmosphere. Always one of my favourites right on my doorstep here’s some snaps from past years 📸

This year there will be
✨ Over 50 stalls featuring hand-crafted gifts and local food and treats
✨ The outdoor marquee and festive food stalls to keep you fuelled for shopping
✨ Live entertainment in The Champagne Bar

🎁 Local highlights I always head to at this market:
St Mary’s Spirits: Batch-distilled gin, vodka, and rum inspired by the North East coast. Perfect for gifting or festive cocktails @stmaryspremiumspirits

🛍️ For the Love of The North: Beautiful prints, cards, and gifts from North East artists. Support local! @loveofthenorth

🧴 One I think might be new this year is Alnwick Soap Co: Luxury vegan soaps and skincare, natural ingredients and eco-friendly packaging.

It gets really busy so I’d recommend going early.

Yes it gets rammed and yes the queue for the Christmas shop goes back down to the station but it’s always so festive and worth the trip.

Had the best day and reunion with some friends for a much needed girls day out and yap, lots of cocktail bars, a beautiful restaurant for lunch and finishing off with raspberry and apple crumbles at the market

10/10 for vibes ✨

The Alpine Tipi at The Tempus 🌲

ad| Step into the twinkly Alpine Tipi at The Tempus this festive season, it’s so worth a visit ✨

I’m just going to come off the fence and say I think it’s the most luxurious tipi in the North East, set in the grounds of @thetempus_charltonhall it’s complete with crackling fire pits, cosy sheepskins and fluffy blankets to keep you warm - and a very festive atmosphere.

On Thursday night we enjoyed a taster of everything the tipi will offer for the next couple of months, including wood-fired pizzas, a selection of Christmassy cocktails crafted by the bar staff, live music, and to really complete the cold winter night vibe - s’mores kits for around the fire pit 🍢🔥

I really enjoyed the evening with Arthur and friends, it’s now open for the festive season every Friday and Saturday anyone can visit, but if you want to push the boat out I’d recommend staying too. The rooms are gorgeous and then nobody needs to drive.

The tipi is also a setting for Christmas parties, wreath-making and wax melt masterclasses, and even Santa’s Grotto too so have a look at the full program on their website.

Family friendly, dog friendly, and very festive it set the season off for me ✨🎅🏼 🦌

I don’t think anyone can complain and say they’ve not listened to feedback, the 12 Days of Christmas Fenwicks window this year has ticked all the boxes.

It tells a story along the window and I think the QR codes to donate to the local food bank are a great idea - show your appreciation if you can spare it.

This has been my favourite shop in Newcastle since it opened a few months ago and it’s now full of Christmas stuff.

I used to love visiting their shops when I was in Copenhagen all the time but couldn’t really bring anything home so I was very excited for one to open in Newcastle. It really brings the Danish ‘hygge’ feels and is so reasonably priced.

It’s where the old Lakeland shop used to be in Eldon Square and is worth setting aside at least an hour to browse through - there’s everything from homeware and decor to baking and art supplies, and a sweet section.

A spree last weekend got me very excited for my Scandi Christmas market trip in a few weeks time 🇩🇰🇸🇪 it’s been a while!

An Edinburgh Christmas Market, dog friendly itinerary 🐾 ✨

This time last year I booked a one night trip to Edinburgh Christmas market for me and Arthur. We went on the train the first weekend in December, stayed in the gorgeous George Hotel, went to the market, visit three cocktail bars, had dinner at ESF and breakfast the next morning before wandering the old town and spotting all the Christmas displays.

I was a bit nervous mainly for Arthur on the train but it was the best festive decision I made and he loved it in his little Christmas jumper 🦌
