I’m Steph, a part time lifestyle and travel blogger from Newcastle Upon Tyne, and my 9-5 is Head of Social Media for a global TravelTech company. I have ten years experience working in social media and content creation around travel and my local area, but this blog and my social channels are all my personal experiences and recommendations.

I focus on exploring and sharing the best experiences in Newcastle and beyond, I live solo by the coast with my pug Arthur, and I absolutely love it.

On my blog, you’ll find practical insights on travel, restaurant reviews, and lifestyle tips, especially around Newcastle and the North East. Whether you’re interested in dog-friendly spots, cosy pubs, or European getaways, there’s something here for everyone.

I have a passion for traveling to new places, revisiting old ones, eating out, beautiful hotels, taking photos and football.

This is my place on the internet to share my experiences of things to do, where to eat good food, where to drink better coffee and cocktails, tips for visiting, and my general day to day life in this fabulous city, as well as day trips, UK staycations, unique stays and as much travel abroad as I can manage too,

I write for people like me who want to make the most of their free time, weekends and annual leave. People who travel to get away from the monotonous daily grind, who want authentic experiences, and to make the most of every trip they go on. People who don’t want to cook every night so prefer to eat out. People who get bored by doing nothing.

I’d love to say I travel for as cheap as possible, but I’m a lot more likely to choose convenience over cost, throw a bit of luxury into every trip, and try to get as much authenticity out of it as possible – as well as the usual tourist stuff!
