All I wanted for Christmas in November was for Arthur to be ok and anything more is a bonus. It feels very good to be off work for a proper break, the films are being watched, the wine is going down nicely, I’ve worn more make up this month than I have all year…

Thanks for all the lovely comments and messages on the first vlog attempt! As you can see they won’t be polished but quite nice not to care too much. Daily morning posts won’t ever change but i’ll be sharing these at 6pm each day til Christmas.

Also feel like I need to clarify - on yesterday’s video I said I’ve worked in social media for nearly ten years, and actually got some people message about working with me as their social manager. Thank you for the interest but I don’t work for myself, I’m employed full time in house by a company, happy to recommend some North East agencies/freelancers I think are good though!

📍 Durano Lounge, Tynemouth

New spot on the sea front that used to be the toy museum, it’s huge inside and they’ve done it up really well. There’s loads of tables and sofa seating - walk in only.

We went for coffee and some of us had breakfast last weekend - there were 6 of us and two dogs it was great having all the space. The staff were really canny this was one of the main things I took away, they were all really nice.

The coffee was spot on, but i’ll be honest the breakfast food was alright (still new so I would have it again) and I have heard good things about the evening tapas menu. They’re doing live music nights in there now too.

I think it’s a great addition and another option for Tynemouth sea front, and their terrace will be so nice in the summer looking right out over Longsands. We went on the day of the storm though so no chance of us going outside for a look 🌪️

My favourite thing about wandering the old alleys in here is that all the decorations completely clash and it’s like a throwback to the 90s. Tinsel, multicoloured lights, paper chains, cut out snowfkakes, blow up santas the lot 🎅🏼 ❄️

The Grainger market is also open on Sundays now until Christmas ✨
